With Google’s “mobilegeddon” update (April 21, 2015), if your website is not “mobile-friendly”, your place in online search results could be severely affected. Mobile web searches have finally outnumbered desktop searches and Google is not waiting around.
In Spring of 2018, Google rolled out mobile-first indexing. Mobile-first indexing means that they use the mobile version of the web page for indexing and ranking, to better help the – primarily mobile – users find what they’re looking for.
